1962

The Triassi family establishes a local butcher shop in Montreal’s east end, marking the beginning of a legacy.

1966

The butcher shop rapidly expands and confidently joins the Metro Richelieu group, specializing in premium meat cuts and artisanal sausages.

1975

The family boldly opens a new facility, which becomes the largest butcher shop in the east end, significantly enhancing their buying power and allowing them to serve an increasingly discerning clientele.

1983-2000

The family strategically sells their retail shops and pivots to a state-of-the-art transformation plant, seizing the opportunities in the emerging food service market. They successfully implemented the Just-In-Time (J.I.T) system, revolutionizing their operations.

2000+

The current plant was inaugurated, showcasing a comprehensive operation dedicated to transforming beef and poultry products. Today, PRO-MARQUE commands the market, serving food services, retail, business-to-consumer (B2C) accounts, as well as trading and industrial clients, with a formidable client list of over 2,000 satisfied customers.

Our detzermination to lower our facility’s carbon footprint has led us to invest significantly in an innovative heat recovery system.

This system harnesses the energy generated by our refrigeration equipment’s compressors, converting it into heated water for daily plant cleaning – a powerful step towards energy efficiency. Moreover, we empower our customers to make a positive impact by offering the option of biodegradable tray packaging. This choice not only minimizes the environmental footprint of their products but also aligns with governmental policies and guidelines for responsible resource use.
